The Church Website Design Project provides free and unlimited hosting to all churches, an unlimited package of features and services that is commercially available at £12.99 across many of the major UK hosting providers.

We believe that web hosting is more than just providing web space and FTP access. Our aim is to provide churches and Christian organisations with everything they need to express themselves on the internet. Whatever you want to create a website for, be it a small church website or a full powered data base driven website for a large Christian organisation, your choice of web host is essential.  The right web host will make the difference between a slow clunky site that has regular down time and a site that is always available and blisteringly fast!

Hosting is offered free to all churches and Christian organisations as part of our commitment to support and enable the growth of church websites within the UK. Our hosting package is not limited in any way, offering unlimited emails, unlimited hard disk space on the server, unlimited bandwidth and much more besides. We do not insist upon filling your site with advertisements, unlike many other ‘free hosting’ providers.  It is our gift to you, simply and only because we can. 

As part of the free hosting service, you will receive a website building package that can be used by anyone – no special skills or knowledge required. If you would like help with purchasing a domain, we can help you with this as well. We are able to search the availability of certain domains and make the purchase on your behalf. For more information about domains and their availability, contact us today and we’ll be happy to help.

It is important to us that you are supported throughout the process of maintaining a church website. We can offer help and guidance to transfer existing domains to our servers (most domains can be transferred free of charge, however some international domains such as .com and .org will incur a fee of £20, a fee we pay directly to the international registrar of your domain). We can also set up your hosting services, set up emails and transfer data to the server on your behalf – services that are provided for free.

We ask churches to consider putting a link to our website at the bottom of your homepage – so that we may encourage more churches to follow your example. This is by no means required; it would be nice if you could.
